San Antonio TX – April 30, 2009--- With the busy Spring housing market well underway, Homes for Heroes, is gearing up to serve as many Heroes as possible. Homes for Heroes affiliates wish to “give back” by providing significant savings to our local Heroes who are buying or selling a home. Homes for Heroes offers considerable discounts and rebates to military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, healthcare workers and others who serve our San Antonio area community unselfishly everyday.
Homes for Heroes is also proud to announce The Homes for Heroes Foundation. Due to its highly recognized name and brand nationally; Homes for Heroes® became inundated with calls that were pre-dominantly from severely wounded military personnel asking for assistance. “These requests went far beyond the scope of our business model and ability to help”, say’s co-founder, Ruth Johnson. The shareholders of Homes For Heroes® saw a need for a charitable organization that would have a similar vision to its own. After much thought and the desire to help, they formed the Homes For Heroes Foundation.
The foundation will endeavor to provide or coordinate financial assistance to the Heroes of our nation such as Military, Police Officers, Firefighters, and First Responders who are in need. What is this program about?
Homes for Heroes provides real savings for the people who work everyday to make our communities safer, cleaner and better places to live. Homes for Heroes is a network of real estate professionals, mortgage brokers and title companies prepared to give real savings to their communities' heroes when they buy or sell a home. This program is our genuine way to say Thank You!
Who qualifies as a hero?
Workforce heroes include: military personnel, teachers, firefighters, peace officers, healthcare workers and others who provide extraordinary services to the public every day.
How much will I save?
Savings vary due to the final selling price of your home. On a Homes for Heroes mortgage, you will receive your savings in the form of a discount off fees versus a rebate. Other savings will be a discount off of services. Benefits include:
- 25% rebate of the gross brokerage commission, whether
you buy or sell.
- 1/2% loan originaton fee on purchases or refinances with
an HFH preferred lender.
- Dicounted closing fee with HFH preferred closing company.
- Discounted home inspections with HFH preferred
inspection company.
Do I have to use all of your affiliates (agents and lenders) to receive the savings?
No, you don't. Most HFH clients don't want to miss out on any of the generous rebates and discounts provided by our affiliates though, so they usually choose to let our affiliates say thank you every step of the way!
